Another ignition timing question....

This might sound stupid, but anyways.....

I was checking the ignition timing tonight and realised that my timing was set at +10, this was with the TPS connected. With the TPS disconnected it was sitting perfectly on +20. Is this normal?

When imported, a lot of Rs are set to 15deg timing due to the fuel, 20deg is correct if you use 98RON. So i've been told anyway. Most people complain if pinking at 20deg with 95RON, but i have no trouble.
The timing will jump around unless the ECU is put into timing adjustment mode.
