Hi Guys I know a lot of this has been covered in previous topics but some of them going back like 4 yrs now so I wanted to see what people have to say about it now, how have people progressed.
I'm breaking my R to make space for this project and keep any bits I might need along the way.
My questions are:
1. What's the easiest Almera to do this conversion to? I preferably want a 4-door.
2. Is it really a drop-in engine?, what about the mountings?
3. Wanting to keep it 4WD because I plan on running BIG power, will my 4WD system from the R fit straight in? - I haven't had the opportunity to work on a customers Almera to find out but a mate of mine who has one said he has floor plan already setup to take a prop..?
4. I'll be doing the conversion myself so will cut most of the costs out, however, the almera has air bags.. the R doesn't.. and I'm no electrician - is it possible to keep the airbags? (As the whole idea for me is to have the power of the R with the luxuries of the almera)
Thanks guys for anything you can add to this topic
