Aftermarket Coil-Anyone Fitted One

The standard one is pretty weedy looking.Has anyone fitted a more powerful one?Did you notice any difference?

Im gunna fit an msd ignition but im gunna still use the stock coil. Sorry not much help to ya.

Apparently the stock one is 50,000v and is adequate upto about 350 then its best to upgrade.

What are the options on a better one?

Are the 300zx ones any better etc?

Well I should have over 350(bhp not kw)and have an old coil on so am looking to replace it anyway.

standard coil should be fine at 450+ (as people on here are proving)

Ahhh but could it be better Alan :lol: ?I'm getting a new one regardless as I've already had one fail on me whilst driving(car spluttered then cut out at 60mph),so if I can get a better one for the same/less money then all the better .

yeah i dont blame u mate ive wondered if we can go over to couil packs as i know splitfire ( or whatever they are called) do them for teh sr20 in the states but thats on the 200sx so dont know if its the same

Yeah I was looking at some 200sx leads on ebay today.Has got to be better than just one :?:
