Converting RNN14 4 throttle to 1 big throttle body

how ?

Got one Q45 Throttle body
thinking to convert it on my car since have spare 3 unit throttle intake

and wondering

4 throttle vs 1 big Throttle ( Q45 Throttle )
which one is best for track use ?

I don't think its really that hard to do, but i think unless your going big power and big boost it isn't really worth it.
By the time you've added up the cost of making custom inlet you could have spent the money on better things.

Not sure of exact benefits really

waste of time i personally think

er well
it is DIY work ( i more to DIY )
and Q45 Throttle only cost me 15 pound here
:D

targeting 400-450bhp level

worth to spend the hassle on it ?

Personally i would just polish the insides and knife edge the quads.

Only big hp cars tend to use those single throttle set ups. Like over 500hp. Not that 400-450 isnt alot.

For track you would think the multi throttles would be better wouldnt you? up to a certain point of course. Isnt the single setup better for dragracing (more volume). I dunno?

totally agree with what everyone has said stick with the quad setup at those power levels and definetly if you are doing track sessions quads will be better for response.

you will lose the responsivness of the motor but you will gain some marginal top end.

Every one just has a hardon for it cause some 9sec jap gtir has a single throttle body.

So thats why Edd wants a single throttle body as it allows you to tune out any marginal top end gain
