Hello.

My name is Bogdan and I am new to this forum.

I bought a red Sunny Gtir last year from red_reading and I am quite plased with the car.
Here is a little presentation of the car on some other forum : http://www.nissangtir.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=28556

Now......as I discussed with Danny (red_reading) some time ago....
I want to build a 360-380 Bhp engine without changing the internals.
So.....I thought that Danny's idea was preety good :
To get a gt2860 or a gt2871 and some good injectors and start the job.
But what setup do I need ....injectors, software and other bits???
Is nistune enogh for this......what more do I need to build up a reliable engine??

Let's keep in mind that I have 76 mm departure exhaust (complete) and a front mount intercooler (that I wanna upgrade 600x300x100mm).

Sorry for the bad english.

Regards,
Bogdan

I've had 350 BHP from a totally standard turbo so you should see those figures with a 2871. Some 600cc injectors should be OK as mine were 550's.

Nistune is good and yes will cope with what you want.

When you say complete exhaust - is this including a turbo elbow/downpipe?

Don't bother with a 100mm thick intercooler, you'll find you'll add more lag.

At 360-380bhp you'll not have enough air to warrant one.

Hello again.

No an this moment the exhaust is not completetly 3'' but as we are speaking I am having it done (I WILL POST SOME PICTURES OF WHAT I'VE DONE)

That is preety awkward because I am at 1.3 bar and I have only 300 bhp.....but it doesn't matter because I have decided to buy an gt2871r.

Can anyone tell me please how should I set the Nistune???

So I''l better stick with the 3'' thick one?

-->What clutch should I buy??

Now I have the Helix organic clutch disc along with the cover.....

it's the standard turbo elbow that is very restrictive, i gained around 25 BHP just from my elbow/downpipe alone. Having this done should see 300BHP at 1.1 bar i'd say.

If you were in the UK i'd say take it to a mapper just fusion etc but seen as your not in the UK i'm unsure.

The only problem that I have is that I am not from the Uk :((((:)((((((((((:)(((((( and the fact that I have the one and only GtiR in my country and don't have nobody to talk to!!!!

get a greddy emanage from ebay or on here and map it yourself? You will need an air fuel ratio measuring device though, look on ebay aswell. AEM are good

Wiring is one of the reasons I went for the Haltech e8 ECU as it comes with a patch loom so it plugs straight into the R in place of the standard ecu.

I suppose any ECU or Chip is only any good if you can either find someone to map it, or you can get the software and have the knowledge to map it your self.

Yeah .....correct.

But....I spoke with the Nistune guys and it's pretty interesting....and with this you ban have your own reprogamable ecu.

What about this haltech E8??? can you tell me more about it?

I can't give you a full review as yet as my mapping hasn't been finished but it's packed full of features......
See here... http://www.haltech.com/index.php?se...=&searchphrase=all&Itemid=1&option=com_search
Patch loom info..... http://www.haltech.com/index.php?op...rticle&id=40:plugnplay&catid=8:site&Itemid=35
You can download the mapping software for free I believe and it can be used on pretty much any Laptop - you just need to know how to use it! You only need an old style printer cable to connect laptop to ECU.

Can't really help anymore as most people in the UK get a mapper to do the mapping.

Ok mates.......but now I have another problem that I want to solve.
I've ordered the Nistune.....

But....I don't know what injector size should I pick??

I found some RC Engineering Precision 600cc at 250 pounds at a local dealer....are theese good or should I need bigger??

i would go for 700cc if you are looking at 400+ but 600s will get you to 380 ok, if not then just up the fuel pressure a little with a quality pressure regulator.
my 660s made 380 comfortably
