Hy guys. I know thia has probably been mentioned a million times on this page but i need help asap. Lastnight on a cruise my car after a few doses started idling real rough, stuttering under acceleration and backfires really loud. Sounds and smells like its flooding. Checked spark plugs and they were wet with fuel. Changed them and still no luck. My gtir had got basic mods like fmic, chip, 3" exhaust, pod filter. Nothing to major. Would appreciate a little help please. :(.
Cheers

Vacuum leaks from perished pipes? Are the fans running all the time, indicating the ECT temp sensor is disconnected causing it to over fuel?
What about the ignition side- how are the ignition leads, coil etc?

The fans dont run non stop. The coil pack and leads are all fairly new aftermarket too.

I'd be looking for boost/vacuum leaks too. - Sometimes it's just a matter of disconnecting and reconnecting things to make sure they're giving a good seal.

What "chip" have you got; any chance that's malfunctioning?

Have you plugged it in to see if it's talking to your PC and/or if the map is ok?

Probably an air leak somewhere. Check for any split/loose pipes from the large ones in the intercooler pipe run and the small vacuum ones, also check the dump valve isn't leaking.

I had similar a few years back, turned out to be an intercooler hose had blown off, it looked like it was still on but was only just seating. I replaced all the clips with mikalor type after that. Hopefully it's just something simple, but check all your connections, even the little pipes. Where are you based?

Yeah, it doesn't take much; that's why I was suggesting disconnecting and reconnecting things.

Who's the Pulsar specialist in Perth? - I'm back in WA in February (then to the ACT for a wedding) and might see if I can pick some stuff up whilst I'm there.

Possibly; do you have the code to change it to a Z32 MAF?

You might find someone over here has a spare they'd be willing to sell and ship to you.
