Minimum rim size due to brake set up is 17" so looking at 225/45/17, tried 888 and A048 but seeing what other people think as had mixed reviews

I haven't personally used them but know people who have and if you're used to the grip levels of R888's or AO48's you'll be disappointed. They'd be a decent all round tyre for a road car that does the odd track day but not in the same league as the others you mentioned.

I'm using these tyres on my road rims. I think as mark says they are a very good all round road tyre but can certainly not be compared to ao48s.
As road tyres go they seem to last well.

I have used 595RSR as (predominately) wets on the race car, in wet/damp/cool conditions they are very good. In the dry, they are much quicker than the tread design may lead you to believe.
In the dry/warm/hot they do go off quite quickly, but not a " gone off and launch you into the scenery" but just more movement and sliding around.

I agreed they are no R888, A048 etc, but they are a very good all round tyre, if I was looking for a treaded slick type in Federals range I would be looking at the FZ201

Hi
I should have been more precise, i was looking for an all round tyre not a out an out track tyre so apologies for that
some have told me the 595 rsr is close to the likes of toyo R888 etc which is why i asked if people have used them, i may try a set and see how i get on. Problem i have running cut slicks when im driving on the road is when it rains im knackered. Ill try a set and see how i get on :)
thanks
