Any idea what this switch is for?

It was wired in to the ecu at some point.

Been told it could be an original turbo timer or boost controller

Having 3 settings and being connected to the ECU would point to either having 3 separate maps or possibly a boost controller with 3 different settings. Not sure about the turbo timer but could be an option.

What sort of ECU do you have?

Thats the thing with the ECU. I bought the car to get it running but now I am breaking it. It did have a different ECU in it at some point, but it was sold to me with the standard one put back and this was not wired up. It also is a Nissan branded switch which fits perfectly where it is

Its a contol switch for a factory turbotimer. Not really worth anything unless you have the rest of it?
Is it an import your breaking?

Oh right that makes sense now. Was advised that it might be something like this. I have got the rest of the wiring that goes to the ECU and yes it is an import

maybe try the silvia forums, they seem to dig this stuff more ;)

that switch is still rare, jsut waht people will pay ..

I will do thanks mate. I knew from the start that its rare, but it is rare for a reason.

Obviously there are many better options on the market, so the best place for these switches over the last say 15 years, has been the bin!
