Fuel pump question

I have a walbro fuel pump in my car, im hearing stories these arent great and that a GTR R32 Pump works better, im interested to hear others opinion on this. My car will be prepared to run approx 370BHP longterm and im trying to set a good foundation prior to upping the power. 560CC injectors are all ready on the way, as is Z32AFM, and an uprated 50mm alluminium radiator and im seriously considering the turbo upgrade to GT2871R .64 . The car will be mapped by Edd at fusion with nistune ecu and will have standard internals.

What pump does the GTR have; I thought they upgraded to the Walbro too? - Or is it all "stage x" with them so they don't actually know, a tuner just tells them it's what they want...

I read that the walbro isn't stable though
Where did you read that as its BS. Most people than have a Pulsar run a walbro unless they are running massive power. For your goals a Walbro is perfect, if anything it will be your injectors that will hold you back.

Skyline GTR fuel pump = Walbro 255L

The pump pulse should be taken out by the fuel pressure regulator anyway, so an unstable pump isn't really a problem. A dead one is, so is one that's sucking dry.

If you're really struggling for fuel pressure and/or stability, install a swirl pot with an external pump.

It sounds like the 200SX boys are creating myths again to me. ;-)

maybe you should ask ed what pump. but walboro will be fine, if you can afford it go for a bosch 044 pump.

Why would you want to run your fuel pump at 14V - doesn't that indicate that the voltage regulator on your alternator is shot?

Like that man says, if you don't trust it buy a Bosch instead.

It wouldn't surprise me to find that the GTR pump is actually the same as a GTi-R anyway; if they put the top-end parts in their road-going track machine, why wouldn't they do the same with their road-going rally car? - I'd check, but my copy of FAST doesn't have the JDM vehicles in it; just European ones.
