Phantom Grip? is it any good

I have searched the forum and read the old posts but many are from years ago. Has anyone else tried this yet? It seems very inexpensive for a front LSD kit. I understand its different to having a proper LSD but does it work? will it reduce understeer through bends and improve cornering speed?

I don't really see why you'd put it on a road car that never goes out in the rain. You'd be better-off just adjusting the suspension set-up you've got to dial-out understeer; softening the front and stiffening the back.

If you're after a front LSD, then it's probably the best option for a road car simply because it will have less detrimental effect on the cornering than a true LSD... at least I that's how I understood it.

I fitted one to my old R and it was just about the best mod ever, The before and after handling was just amazing. No longer did it under steer off the road at every wet corner. I'd say after I fitted it my pulsar was almost as good across country as our brand new 08 scooby STi we had at the time. But I had a different version of the phantom grip to the one they list on their site for the pulsar. Mine was for more powerful cars so I can only comment on the one I fitted.

Plus it must be fitted properly by an engineering workshop and not you average spanner monkey, Their might be a bit of machining to be done to get the right amount of clearance.

From what I've read about proper uprated LSD's I think I would rather have the much more gentle phantom grip any day, Plus it's cheap lol.
