which tyres out of these 3 should i choose for fast road dry driving?

My car is only used in the dry and the following tyres are available in my preferred size 205/45/16.

Yokohama AD08
Toyo R1R
Goodyear Eagle F1

All 3 are comparibly priced so im not worried about that, the car will only be driven in the DRY. (ok i may get caught in the wet but it will be extremely rare). I like to use the car as a fast road car and may do a few track days in the future (not often). The car does less than 1500 miles a year so wear isnt really an issue.

ok, i have done some research and im pretty decided on the Yokohama AD08 , the best price i have found for a set of 4 205/45/16 is 450.88 delivered. does anyone know anywhere that could undercut this?

ive heard the original F1 is better than the current one. thats another reason ive picked the yokos.

If you care less about wet handling and might want to do trackdays then I would also go with the Yoko's. I've not run them but I know others get on with them. On the R I run F1's which are great on road but did seem to wear fast after some hard lapping on tack. Toyos I've never got on with, it's not that they're bad it's just there always seems to be a better compromise for wet/dry handling. My M3 has T1R's on the front which are a different tyre but they are still coming off this week and being replaced with conti 5P's as I'm sick of them. Going back 10 years, my old MR2 was the only car I found that got on with Toyo's but I then moved to Hankooks as again they were a better compromise lasting longer on track with more dry grip.

The R1R is a sprint tyre and super soft so I would avoid that one.

See if you can get Michelin Pilot Sport Cups in your fitment, proper tyre!

AD08's are not cheap, Camskills do them at a decent price.

Get your hand in your pocket and cough up!

I just sent a mail saying leave the old ones on whilst we mess around with the geometry. Not to worry, we just need to be more careful
