Front solid Engine mount

As my project is coming along i was looking at Enine mounts and i come across a solid one on Ebay which made me wonder.

I can do this too :)

So here is the result.

I have left the Top Rubber in place for a bit of movement but could easily be removed.
The one on Ebay is expensive and this is a cheaper solution.

Fully Tig welded for extra strength
sided welded for extra stiffness
The rear one appears to be plastic so ill make one similar to this one too

What do you think?

Probley not enough give in it for a everyday car and you will get alot of extra NVH,will work on a track car. i will have some upgraded resin filled versions up for sale as a group buy soon

solid engines mounts are a pain in the ass, you really need something with at least a little give...

try it and see how you go, but when you start the car up, take your teeth out!

Its only solid on one side. I have left the small round rubber on the top side so it should be better.
Less engine movement can give you better response

No arguement there, just be carefull that to little movement will give you fatigue/stress risers in other areas.
