my gtir has bin garaged for the past 6weeks it hardly ever gets drivin as iv decided to giv it sum TLC i recently changed the rocker cover gasket and gave it an oil change and filter change . but got the wrong filther witch i found out as wen i started the car it cut out then again and problem was the oil filther came of and my 5o pound bottle of silicone pro s was all over the exhaust and floor ....... so got new filter and oil and it started and was grand . so i started sorting rust on arches and refurbing shocks etc . but just now i went to take it out and wen i started it up theres a lot of wite smoke cumming from it ....any ideas ??

Its winter, I assume you have a large bore exhaust, do the maths!

The white smoke is just an effect of the hot air in the exhaust hitting the cold air outside, at this time every year I have to say this is the most common thread of all. Do a search on white smoke if you dont believe me :thumbsup:

Take it on a long run the smoke will disappear, simple.

If it hangs around along time then it's smoke. If it disperses reasonably quickly then it's condensation.

yes its cuming out quite fast i let car warm up a bit and its still there ? the flexi part of exhaust up near engine got coverd in oil a wile back ?

How much is a bit?

Mine needs a good 20mins of driving (not idling) or so to clear itself after its been sitting for a few days.

Take it out on a nice long run, if it doesnt clear then you have a problem.

The real reason Stumo's not on here much is because he bought a new computer not so long back and he's still not figured out how to use it yet!:roll:

Make's a change from the typewriter doesnt it old timer:lol::lol:
