Swapped my fto for this R :-)

Tuesday i sealled a deal with my fto with a very nice R.
So here it is my new toy .









It got afew choice mods already , like honda accord type r recaros

Other mods are :-
Toyo front mount intercooler
Mongoose full system exhaust
HKS mushroom airfilter
HKS SSQV Dumpvalve
Moni oil pressure and temp gauges
Grounding kit
EBC Red stuff front Pads
advan 14" black alloys
Tomie Short shift and gear knob
Apexi SAFC fuel controller fitted but not set up yet
Greddy profec b boost controller
Apexi turbo timer

It has also had a recon turbo fitted and an engine thats only done 55000 miles .
Needless to say its very different to the fto but i've alwas had a soft spot for them and i love it 8)

hows the engine running in it?
that was one of the best s/h lumps we had in at the time with good comps and oil pressure.
getting hard to find good s/h engines now that havent had the living daylights knocked out of them.

i was gonna buy that car when it was initially put up for sale but young sam pipped me to the post lol
very nice looking car, enjoy:thumbsup:

yer I was just looking at that aswell :lol:
someone was selling a alloy one im sure, would look alot better than that

Thanks all , i am very much enjoying it all be it at a gentile ish pace at the mo while i get to know it and make sure the engine and turbo bed in nicely .

Yeah i dont know why it was routed all the way aronud the engine bay :lol:
I have re-routed the pipe so that it just goes allong the slam panel :)
An alloy one is on my shopping list once i know all is good and safe .

Thanks , The engine is doing fine with no strange noises or anything.
I am still driveing it carfully at the mo as it hasn't yet coverd a 1000 miles since it went in and the recon turbo only went on two weekends ago .
Speaking of oil pressure what is a good range to be in ?
I have the aftermarket oil pressure and temp gauges and have no idea whats good or bad :?

ideally you want 2 bar idle hot rising to around 4 to 5 bar under load
