64ft times

Hi,

Whats your best 64ft times and what is a good time?

My last sprint i got a 2.03 seconds 3rd fasted that day. single seater was first then a 550bhp evo sencond.

Best is 1.7 when they used to have drag days at my local airfield. Also did a 1.9 at an mlr sprint at haynes a few years ago, that was in the wet too :shock:

Drag racing measures 60ft times. So that's what most of us will be quoting. I've done 1.6 60fts in wet and dry. 2s is my worst.

Thats good times :shock: was that 60 or 64ft?
My times was the first time i have noticed my times but it was on a single track road (farm road) so it was a bit dirty :lol:

The 1.7 was a 60 and the 1.9 was 64 ft.

I forgot to consider that seconds are longer up in Scotland ;-) HaHa!

Nearly all the hillclimb starts are 64ft split times, Wiscombe is longer as the bridge walls get in the way for the timing gear. At Castle Hill I can pull 1.85 up hill, and last weekend I done 1.92 steep up hill start at Werrington. This is on Avon slicks. To get these starts it takes almost maximum revs and a dumped clutch. No other car at Castle or Werrington, ( 225 ) cars, could match the times of the gtir. Had a very close win yesterday at Wiscombe by 4/100s of a second, but better today winning by 2 seconds on a damp surfice. cheers den.
