Copper pipes for your intercooler.

They won't look as pretty (if that's important to people), and they may be slightly worse for picking-up heat from the exhaust manifold etc. - Having said all that, I think I could solder-up some joins in copper pipe work so it's probably the cheapest and easiest way to do it.
Worth keeping in mind!

I remember reading this a couple of years ago and looked into the availability of copper pipe of the right size in the UK...........not a hope in hell, it seems you can get it in OZ but not here (autospeed is OZ written)

Another potential advantage of copper is that it will better conduct the heat through the walls of the tube – so the ‘hot side’ plumbing on its way to the intercooler will shed some of the heat. Of course, the opposite will also occur, so the ‘cold side’ tube should be insulated so heat isn’t transferred from the engine bay back into the cooled intake air.

I doubt if you could get 63mm copper pipe as the biggest i have come across is 2"and that was along time a go ? its not a UK web site . Then you would need to silver solder it as lead free solder would be difficult at that size .

ive got a whole length of it sitting outside, and TBH you'd be better brazing the copper fitings.

you can get refrigeration grade copper in that size - and a multitude of fittings.
