They're quite rare. I think it was Do luck that made them. Haven't a clue on the price as I don't know what they cost new.

i probable leave it , its just something i think would look good and maybe help stiffen the car up more, as i do have a front and rear strut brace already.

With you on that stumo
be better fitting one of those rear roll hoops with the integrated brace? megamodz had one, mind you, thats only the same as having a rear brace

To get a "proper" stiff car though, get a cage, makes so much difference

I can't see it doing jack shit TBH
I'm pretty sure Geoff said they weren't even meant for a GTi-R...

I don't see that the middle of my car is particularly prone to flex; the strut towers, yes. - Mind you I don't really see the point of strut bars in a road car either; a track car, yes. Even then, you should just fit a cage if you really want to stiffen the monocoque.

A stiffer shell will allow the suspension to work better.

It's one of the reasons new cars handle so well.

Yeh it's the pic from the add(the car not the bar plus it was fitted in japan not here)

I'm still not convinced that it does anything useful (other than discourage people from trying to be passengers); I don't see how pushing the sills apart in the middle helps. As I said, I can understand the strut towers, and a cage is by far the best and stops the entire monocoque from twisting... but that doesn't include a bar across the footwell.

if you use your car with passengers then a roll cage is difficult to manage, thats why i think front and rear braces and front under braces all fitted with uprated bushes and this bar in the middle will help some what maybe?

If you use your car with passengers then give-up on trying to make it a track car with handling to match... - It comes back to that thread from a year or so ago that concluded strut braces etc don't offer an advantage for road cars.

As I said, I can see the advantage of the strut braces (despite that thread I worry that my ageing monocoque could do with reinforcing)... but if this bar was so bl00dy helpful don't you think you'd see more cars with it? Simply because I've never seen one installed in a car personally, I've come to the conclusion that it achieves nothing (and therefore people don't bother with them). I'm not saying it does any harm, just that it offers no significant benefit.
