If you're removing ABS, then you can dump this assembly.
As mentioned above, the black box contains two relays used by the ABS system - the relay that provides the +ve feed to the two actuator solenoids, and the on/off relay for the ABS pump.
All the loom connectors on it are related to ABS. Take it all out.

Rather than just throwing these away, flog them on fleabay, you might make a bob-or-two

does anybody buy the ABS units for these? thought most people would just scrap the ABS if it failed?
To be honest i don't think there's a high failure rate as there not worth much secondhand with abs its probably wheel sensor that are the weak link.
So may be worth trying to flog the wheel sensors on ebay(if you can get them out ):lol: :lol:

I've always wondered whether there'd be value in intercepting the 4 signals and plotting them - to see the speed differentiation front-rear and left-right through a track session.
It would be a good method of looking at the affects of open v. LS diffs, etc, etc.
