just got this car in the other day for an engine build! dont think the present owner did this as he said he was having probs with the brakes also as well as engine, but il not mention names just in case.
how dangerous is this :shock::shock::shock:
good job its his engine thats expired first, could have been his life!
the whole reservoir is hanging by a thread and you can actually see the fluid where its starting to pop out the seal
as well as that both front calipers are seized and one wheel you cannot turn at all by hand

THATIS BAD! when i got mine i thought i checked it out throughly , but after a few weeks i took the wheels off to clean em and noticed there was nothing left of the rear pads , metal on metal took quite a while to wind the piston back in ,
if id of noticed i would of knocked him down another £200-£250

Love it.

I know we're all bodge artists, but Jesus Christ - bodging the bit that stops you hitting things? Terrible idea.

lol it gets better gents
not only have they failed to cut the excess cable tie off:lol:
when he last had sump removed they have snapped the two rear bolts that hold the rear main oil seal carrier to the sump clean off and tried to glue it back in with shite loads of sealant so the car is spewing out oil from there, and also they have used so much sealant around the sump that its all broken loose inside and has garmed up the oil pickup which is probably what led to his engine taking an early retirement:doh:

i do feel sorry for the guy tbh stu.
sometimes people are reliant upon others to do work for them, to think this car has been into a garage that have first of all slapped his ass by replacing a head that he never needed(as problem was bottom end), then turn out the standard of workmanship (from just what ive seen so far) is absolutely terrible.
the car itself is not a shitter actually its a very very clean R but has just been severely lashed up mechanically.

Fair enough, if someone else has done this (and esp charged for it) then they need shutting down!!!

I thought that the owner had done that himself.
