Hardened clutch fork???

Hello, I have just today ordered myself a new exedy racing clutch for my 1994 pulsar as I burnt out the one that was in on monday whilst drag racing at york, not good! Ive been reading a post that recommends getting a hardened clutch fork. What does any one else think, is that a necessary modification or is the standard one fine for that clutch??

Thanks Chris

Its really depends on how heavy the clutch is?

RPS clutches tend to be heavy and have a tendency to bend or puncture a hole through the fork.

Depending on how heavy the Exedy clutch is, really depends if its needs doing?

If gearbox is off it might be worth having it enforced for piece of mind.

I welded some 4mm steel over the pivot point and it’s never gone wrong since.

do it whilest it out. the forks are cheap enough. you would be pi$$ed off if it bent down the line and the box had to come off just for the clutch fork!

Thanks, I'll re-enforce it then, I can weld! I dont actually know how heavy the clutch is so I'll be safe instead of sorry!

Thanks again!
