Which Mongoose???

Just had my R serviced and it needs a new exhaust. Thought it would be a good time to get a Mongoose and looked on the net. Saw the following:

5" Mongoose exhaust
5" Mongoose exhaust with cat back
3.5" Mongoose exhaust
3.5" Mongoose exhaust with cat back

I travel to work at back each day, but like a noisy exhaust and more importantly, want more bhp. Is Mongoose the best make?

When it says cat back, does that mean it doesn't have a cat, or it does???

Any recommendations greatly appreciated!

I bought the 3.5" system but changed the end to 5" after a while, did notice a slight increase in noise tho. Cat back bolts on after the cat so retaining the cat. I'd go for the full system and bin the cat :twisted:

ive got no cat and the 5" tail. I love it my mates here me from miles away but the neighbours hate it at 5 in the morning when im going to work. Also its a pain when you have got a hang over. But i love it and wouldnt change if for anything else. The best place i have seen this exhaust is for £320 + vat :evil: . This was on rallynuts.com. Dont know what tail pipe it is, i think it might be the 3.5".

I like the 5" cos when you start it up in the morning it fires the stray cats out that climbed in the night before to keep walm. :twisted:

Just get the turbo (elbow) back system (downpipes back included) which ever tailpipe you go for.

Wow - what a great response!!

Cheers for all the useful feedback - 5" 'goose it is then.

I had a Blitz Nur Spec R on my RX, so fingers crossed it will be just as loud!!

I use the goose full system with 3.5" but i am waiting for the 4" slash cut to arrive from gary . I thought it was to loud at first but now its grown on me and i think its 8)

Trust system with decat, mmmm! Not as loud as the goose but imo sounds better. Very deep and really purrs! 8) 8) 4.5" slash with nice big bore

I don't like the bigger pipes really,so would say the 3.5" tailpipe with turbo elbow back system.
I'm mating a Janpseed 3" downpipe/elbow&3" decat onto my goose.
