Where's my speedo convertor likely to be?

As I want to check it to make sure the wiring isn't causing my speedo to keep dropping out. Can the delimiter affect the speedo too? If so where's that or are they one in the same item?

Usually a little black box wired in behind the dash.

what is the de-limiter and what does it do

Take all the dash off, undo the 6 or so screws holding the main clocks in and you will see a little black box wired into the back of it

A jap is limited to 112mph (I think) and a delimiter removes this limit so that the car can reach it's top speed of 146mph or whatever ours is without that bleeding close ratio box :evil:
