would there be a problem with fitting a std sunny bonnet of a gti with no vents if you already had a front mount.possible overheating but wouldn't a skyline suffer the same because they don't have a vent on theres any opinions??

Fitting a standard bonnet on a car with a front-mount shouldn't cause any problems at all. Sure there might be heat - but plenty of owners run the standard bonnet with the blanks in place on the two outer vents so theres not going to be any difference.

Think I read somewhere that a NZ owner used a gti bonnet without any probs (warmer there too), and just put a few extra washers under the hinge to lift the rear end of the bonnet up a bit when it was closed. Doesn't line up perfectly but allows more heat to escape when on the move. Done this subtly on my turini bonnet (already has vents tho).
