right my problem is my car starts most of the time then occasionaly it will not
everything turns but the car will not fire
a mate who s a mechanic seems to think there is no spark getting to the plug
but if i go back to the car a hour or 2 later it starts up fine
so any help on this would be much appreicated

the spec of car is
hks fuel pump
560cc injectors
map sensor 3 bar
air temp sensor
motec m48 pro
blitz sbci colour boost controller
gt2871r roller bearing turbo
and recent forge engine build
ik22 iridium plugs
forge fmic

does the turning get slower?

I think might be your starter motor. the time it doesn't start hit your starter motor with a pole and then turn your key.

Do you have "uprated" leads; can you try some standard ones?
What do the plugs look like (if they're covered in cack it's no wonder they don't spark)? - Can you take them out immediately after it fails to start; that might tell you if it's actually flooded (and waiting 2 hours is enough time for the fuel to evaporate)?

I don't know anything about Motec ECUs; is it possible it's related to the setup of that?

Your best bet is to phone up motec or who ever mapped it and tell them whats happening and ask there advise don't let your mate touch or fidle with anything .

My personal opinion: I would stay away from those plugs. I always trust the old copper plugs and are cheap enough to change frequently :)

Right I will try giving the starter a whack next time then lol thanks mcphearson

P body iv got standard leads or at least I think they are
I had the plugs out before wen it wouldn't and they are bone dry
So could it be that there is no fuel there ?
Would it make any difference if I primed the fuel pump a couple of times
Just to make sure fuel I getting there?

Yeah I would contact the tuning company but there complete wxxxxxs
Linden special Vechile were the last to do some maping work on it
But wen I got the car back after running it in my new os giken clutch fell apart :(
Broke the sleeve on the bellhousin
So cutting it short they cost me a grand ;(

when this happens check to see if there is any spark. Strange that the spark plugs are bone dry though. I would imagine that with persistent cranking the engine, the plugs would get wet with fuel.
