i may sound a bit thick mate but how would i do one .

ive got one left i think, pm me if you need it

get a piece of wire or paperclip and go to fusebox down by driver door below steering wheel.
at the bottom youll see a plug with nothing plugged into it
bridge the top two connections on the right for 3 seconds with ignition on and the management light will flash a series of codes eg 3 long and 4 short flashes indicates code 34 (knock sensor) 5 long five short code 55 showing all clear, no faults detected!
once you have read the code then let us know what it is, to reset ecu bridge terminals again for 3 secs and it will delete stored faults and engine check light will stop flashing.

hi again, i just done wot bobby told me to do with the plug and wire and nothing happened, no flashing light at all.

did you have ignition on?
i take it your running a standard ecu?

yes ignition was on and yes i think ecu is std.
