selector seal

Iv got my box off the car at the moment and it was slightly leaking from the selector seal, also the gaitor has split which im going to replace. Whats involved with changing the seal does the box have to be split, tried a search but couldnt find anything describing how its changed

Is it just a case of knocking the retaining pin out the rod, and getting a screw driver on the seal and prising it off and fit a new one??
