hello everybody, does the safc-II have to be set up by a "specialist" or could i do it? im looking at getting one and it looks so pretty and blue i dont think i could resist the temptation to leave it alone, so if i could set it up id love to have a tinker. also does it moniter air/fuel ratio to stop you running lean or rich?

You can setup the safc properly with a helper if you have a wide band o2 sensor. You can get it fairly good using the readings from the stock narrow band. Have your wife password protect the safc so you cant mess about with it?

On that note
screw the safc....for similar money you can get an emanage and have control your timing. Of course there is no chav factor with the emanage, its less likely to get stolen as it will somewhere out of sight and you can horse around with it without a pc (unless you screw around with the dials)

DTA...not sure. I'm not that familiar with the UK engine managment offerings. You'll have to excuse my ignorance on that one.

If you want something proper...power fc...even better the motec

but for cheap and effective engine managment you cannot beat the price and options for the emanage.
