anyone raised their rev limit to 8000 rpm? just wondering if you also had to fit rocker stoppers - or is it safe at this level

I'v been to 8000rpm a few times of late  .

I don't think it's a wise move as the standard rod bolts might brake lol. It seems that since my car was mapped they have removed the rev limit .

But yours still holds its power up at 8000rpm... :p

The SR20DET won't like much above 7000rpm tbh... Yes it will handle it but it puts a little too much stress on the std rod bolts especially as most are over 12years old now...

If you have the ARP Rod Bolts then you are fine...

One thing to bear in mind... Your T28 will start losing power at about 6000 - 6500rpm so there really is no point going upto 8000rpm unless you have a setup that will still produce good power that high up the rpm scale... ie. Good head work, higher lift long duration cams, higher flowing GT turbo...
