Random wire

Hi ppl,when I was messing with the throttle control plug the other day on my r I clocked a random black wire,have no idea where it goes to as its not that long and it hasn't come out of the plug,any ideas?

mine has a ring on the end and was attached to the upright on the support bracket for the top mount from memory its the earth for the tsp ???.

It would if it means your TPS has no earth so isn't actually giving the ECU a reading.

ah i see so if i earth that wire unplug the tps rev 2 times and plug it back in its poss it could ilde lower?

uhm, earth it and leave tps connected start engine, get lambda up to temp (manual says 2k rpm for 2 minutes).
turn car off, unplug tps. start car, adjust throttle screw on plenum to adjust throttle.
car off. plug in tps.
start car, see where youre at
