q45 maf

can anyone tell me how to wire up the maf, ive been told already how to do it but have been given the wrong instructions, cheers

The Q45 has only 3 wires, same as the std R item. The thicker wire is the 12v feed, leaving you two, one of which should be black and that's the earth. I reckon you could work out what the 3rd wire is from that.

Note: This is how it was on my Q45, i do suppose yours could be different, but it's unlikely.

right but on the r the two wires that have a screening cable are the earth and the signal, from what u say on the q45 its the 12v and earth that are screened,does this matter

I don't recall if mine was like that tbh. I'm sure I would have noticed though. Can't see that it would make that much difference, but perhaps some more electronically minded people would care to comment?
