i may be interested in the bike matt, have a grey r in at the mo that needs a new engine fitted, which i will sort out, has got a few upgrades too, nice set of 17's full mongoose, coilovers, tints, new turbo etc!
has the bike been down the road (if you know what i mean) or is it all straight with no past history of crash damage etc?

give me a bell matey if interested!

That go t you to the keys Bob.
I prefer the protection of a car now and can understand the swap ;-)
I have a mint R1, I bought new in 2001. It has 3500mls on the clock.
Think I'll sell it to help build a track car.

yeah il get some this week for you matt, not worried about the mot on bike, il sort that out. and you aint wrong with 2ish seconds to 60, ive got a 750 gsxr at the mo, but need a beast again, car dont quite cut the mustard if you know what i mean!
although i still love the beastie R im building8)

braveheart....ive had r1s before and find them a little to flighty for my liking, the gixer 1000 is a little more planted but ferociously quick and only the zx10 is a better trackbike, my mates racing one at the moment, a step below bsb

Yes... it does like to shake it's head. I've had a few interesting moments on my R1 and sometimes wonder who's taking who for a run. I'm sure I do not bounce as well as I used to and feel that I should get shot of it, "Quit while the goings good"

gearbox is in just need to put drive shafts back in & fill with oil. bit of a pain to line up on the clutch but expected that doing on my back & on my own. Don't think its as bad as everyone makes out, spent about 5 hours on it so far & quite a bit of that was poking round with a torch to see what i needed to unbolt.
Have plenty of time for biking, out on the cbr this weekend :)
