i'v done a search an couldn't find anything. so, a mate has just bought an r which on full lock right clunks. on boost it pulls hard to the right, that much when he comes off boost it dives to the left because its being held that far to the left. he phoned me earlier an asked me what it might be. any ideas?

it could be a tracking rod end or....

the bottom arms could be left or right or both,

or even the shock's!!!, get a jack under it asap to check,

a really bad wheel bearing would do this too

use a pry bar to flex said areas to see for play on the arm..... the shock you should be able to check by hand!

wheel bearing jack one wheel up at a time and try and move from north to south, and east to west,

track rod.. take the wheel off and check for play!!!!!

you can do a simple check

oh did you get the correct drive shaft??? the new one fitted may have more bhp!
lol, never heard of a drive shaft having its own bhp!

clunking on lock tends to be a failed or worn CV joint, the pulling to one side sounds dangerous! for an R to do that with its 4wd system would have to be something quite major, i dont think a track rod end or tracking would be the cause, check the engine and gear box mountings are ok and that who ever fitted the new driveshaft has replaced it with a decent one and has not damaged the bottom ball joint in the process.

best of luck
