Powertec induction kits

Chaps,

I've had an Apexi Power Intake kit on the car for about 3 years now so, I guess it could be time to renew it. I've had a Blitz SUS kit on my previous GT4 and I wasn't particularly bowled over with its filtration effectiveness, or lack of it. However, I always liked the sound of the Blitz and the flow was very good too. I've seen these Powertec SUS kits around for a while and I just wanted to know if anybody is/has used one ?

What were your impressions ?

Did it flow well ?

How well did it filter out dust particles ?

Should I just buy a replacement Apexi filter ?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Cheers

I just ordered the Apexi Power Intake kit which you have. After everything I've read it seems to be the one most favour. So guess you could just get a new filter element (think there are some cheap ones on ebay at the moment).

I have HKS mushroom - great, but a bit risky when old, on mine you can actually see bits of foam which look like they could break off. It also looks like air can get in round the foam where its deteriorated.

No experince of the Blitz SUS, I think it looks a bit gimmicky.
