PowerFC and speed limit ???

hi !

is there a speed limit on the PowerFC ?

i was hunting the new AUDI S8(450hp,V10)
on highway. but it seems that it was not possible
to go faster than 250 km/h.
The Audi is limited to 250 from factory and i could
not overtake him.

by the way - it was very funny,he had no chance
in 4th and even in 5th gear. (GT3071,1.8 bar)

the datalogit software has no option for speed limit
any idea ?

The PFC has no speed limit and no option for one in the datalogit. What were the symptoms at 250 Km/h fuel cut or an unwillingness to go faster.

the symptom was that there was no response to my foot.
maybe a fuel cut or something.
rpm just stopped before 7000.
my rpm limit is 8000.

the acceleration is unbelievable
and then it just stops.
its an GT3071 running 1.8 bar.

In any gear or just at 250km/h?

Go out again and log it. Send me the log/map if you want. It could be another fault or you might have found something that only German's have to worry about ;-)

its only in 5th gear at 250 km/h.

all other gears work fine to 8000 rpm.

actually i cant do any logs(no laptop)

Maybe there is a hidden limt that most people don't touch? I've found ignition cut on my PFC to be quite hard so if it doesn't do that it might be another fault.

every pulsar has this clock(left hand drive)
even the 1.4 engines.

yes,maybe its a hidden limit.
i will try it out next time i am on highway.

it was my first time at 250 km/h.
its unbelievable fast in a pulsar
maybe same as going over 300 in a skyline

Strange it only happens in 5th.

When I ran on the power f.c, mine revved out to 8400rpm in every gear.
