Oil Filter fitment

I believe I may have slightly bent the threaded bolt that the oil filter screws onto. I believe so as the filter leaks a little and isn’t making complete contact on one side or part of the oil seal on the filter. Can the threaded bolt be detached from the block?

That casing is machined from cast, could take a dye and clean up the threads or just replace the lot with a spare. PN# 2134054C06 if you reach out to Karl Scott on facebook he's probably got a spare in NZ

Thanks for this. The threads are ok I just think the part the threads are on that sticks out is bent slightly as I’ve managed to whack it with a hammer.

Actually, I think I have knocked the whole oil filter bracket. I assume this is not an easy job. I.e not easy to get off.

Well, to wrap this up, turns out it had nothing to do with the oil filter or the bracket. It had everything to do with some loose bolts, one on the oil cooler housing and another that i can't remember. Had my crack welded up... in the exhaust, new AFR sensor and a quick squirt down the road with the laptop to check it was all running o.k. And it is. Gay!! i mean... Yay!!

I forgot to mention - because i know Stu really cares and wants to know - that both CV boots are knackered including the steering rack gaters. More bloody money for god's sake..
