Has anyone had their tyres inflated with Nitrogen?
This has just become avaliable and the benefits include 4% savings on fuel costs 30% increase in tyre life due to a more stable tyre pressure oxygen can leak through rubber three times faster. Used already in aircraft and racing cars. Tyres will however have to be deflated and pressurised a few times to remove all the residual air. Im getting it done as soon as I can find someone that does it.

I think its been used in motorsport as the pressures dont change with temperature as much aswell. I saw an advert for it in the back of max power or summin, ill try and dig it out

the main problem lies in the availability - once you fill up with nitro you can't mix it with normal air - so you can no longer adjust your tire pressures at home or servos and probably have to drive a fair way out of your way to get it - which makes it pretty useless :p
