I think thats probably just a general warning to mean that you cant fit the liners at home in your garage Can't be any different from fitting new liners in any other engine, unless they have to have to some special process due to the oversize so they wont warp the block ?

I was thinking more on the lines of the extra 6mm of bore in this kit, so that's 6mm of metal to be removed between cylinder bores to make these liners fit. How much metal is there between the bores on a standard engine?

I think by the look of the liners in that shot on there website (or above) that the four Cylinders are one piece that's why it takes special machining to get them in

as the liners are dry, they need to be pressed in, as a guess the thickness of the liner will be the same as the 2l and 2.2l so the outer size will be larger, so the block will need to be bored and press the liners in
