intercooler woes

ive got an ebay special 600x300x100 with 3inch inlets, its massive and because of the size, so far ive had to have the pipe run a bit twisty with a few not so good bends, the pipe run is probably less than most of the ones you can buy but im a bit anal about this. was thinking of getting the end tanks enlarged slightly and the inlets 90 degrees to parallel, do you think it will effect the air flow through the intercooler badly or not, the inlets will be smoothed into the end tanks not like the rs 500 intercooler, ive thought a lot about this, which maybe a bit sad but wanna get it right

smooth bends are the key from what iv heard to create as little turbulence as possible. so in theroy id have thought a slightly longer run with smooth bends is better than a short sharp job with kinky pipework.

this is mine :D 395bhp/370lbft @ 1.45 bar with no worries :D

iirc the forge kit proved to flow better than most that were available a few years ago.
