V, before you attempt this, how are you controlling the relay as i said its normally done on ECU's by earthing pin 85

if you are going to hard wire the relay i would suggest ground pin 85 to earth constantly and just use the ignition 86 to control pump ,,,,, BUT, you will no longer have prime, then off, then re energising of pump on crank and run, so watch that battery!!!!!

Here's a diagram.


12V input from battery ------------->|87
Current feed to fuel pump------>|85 --87a |86 Ground to Body
Power to fuel pump input----------->|30

As you can see the middle prong 87a not used at all.

This a standard mod on any car thats not fuel pressure pulsed control ex. car with no feul return line or regulator.

PS: the 85 and 86 can be switched around, its just to power the magnetic coil inside the relay.
