Erratic idle when cold after service.

Hi all,

Just done a service on my car, the first time since i've had it. Changed the oil (used Millers 10w60) and spark plugs (used NGK platinum - heat 7) and fitted a 19 row oil cooler and oil filter relocation kit.

I noticed once i started the car, after fitting everything, that the engine began to idle erractically (between 1200rpm and 700rpm), but began to smooth out as it got warmer then settled at 1000rpm.
Then took it for a drive and all was fine, idle was ok.

Thinking all was ok, started the car the next morning and the idle was still erratic  - but only when cold.

Anybody got any ideas???

Cheers.

Check all the electrical connections, youo may have knocked something during the service, cooler install and filter relocation.

Check specifically under the car, around the oil filter area !

Ok, will do.

Any ideas what sensors/connections would affect the idle in this way??

Also engines seems to splutter slightly.

Ok, i've checked over everything again, didn't find any sensors/connections disconnected.

Checked the MAF, took it apart and cleaned it but still having the same problem with the idle when cold.

Any other suggestions please??
