Brakes...

Ok, so when i push on the brakes, its very spongey, and only really respondes when i push down really hard, but if i lift and push, then lift and push again, it becomes responsive and brakes well with just a small push???

any ideas?

Mine aren't spongy, but after I saw some video of Pulsars racing in Japan I've started double tapping my brakes too; one engages the assist and makes the pedal hard, and the second one to squeeze the discs. - If nothing else, it gives me confidence that they're still working...

Anyway, bleed 'em (or have them bled if you're still planning to get it serviced by a garage anyway).
