Bonnet Scoop

The bonnet scoop is iconic, but is it efficient in terms of heat transfer? If you have a front mount intercooler, all the scoop does (because of the way it's facing) is pull in air and trap it under the bonnet, right? Also from an aero perspective, doesn't it just cause massive drag?

There are some Z-Tune scoops on ebay at the moment and am just thinking about replacing the R scoop for one of those. What do you guys reckon?

Why not buy from Crazy Hornet in Japan? - They make replacement scoops specifically to fit the GTiR.

Taking away the cheesegrater scoop is basically the same as punching your gran in the face...

Could always buy one of my vents and airboxes that uses that airflow..that way the otherwise wasted airflow is being put to good use.

Have you got any images of the vent?

Does the battery need to be relocated for the airbox?

Yes the battery needs moved bit that's about it, it uses original mounts for both the vent and the airbox.
