3" Custom made exhaust?

Hi guys

I rang up the local Powerflow garage to book my GTi-R in for a custom exhaust. I already have a Tanabe 4.5" S/S backbox, with a 3" inlet, but they reckon that you cannot fit a 3" system which goes over the rear axle. Please could someone tell me if this is the case cos it dont sound right to me, surely it would fit. Cheers - BK.

I have a 3" from turbo downpipe and it doesnt bang about or rattle.

performance fx do a full 3 inch system that comes off the turbo and fits fine!

Mine is a 3" exhaust system and is not reduced or squashed down like some 3" exhaust systems that are available :roll:

If the company you have taken your car to can't get a 3" pipe over the rear trailing arm, maybe you shoudl consider taking it elsewhere for a 'proper' company to make you one :lol:

Go into the parts section of the forum, someone is selling a goose 3" i think, get that, its what ive got and you wont be dissapointed

just becuase it has a 3" tail pipe doe snot make it a 3" exhaust system.
