yes good isnt it,
Sorry to add to this thread but is what were all about "keeping it alive"
Also on another note, ive been quoted for PPG gears
1) 1st to 4th dog kit, and 3rd-4th billet selector £2675.00 + vat
2) 5th gear dog kit £ 850.00 + vat
plus fitting and new syncros, a place in liverpool has been recomended for building the box,
the company is Lateral Performance Ltd and the guy Mark said PPG will warrant the gears at 600bhp .
Is this good news for me?
This is my only choice unless the sequential is avaliabe yet. Is there any news on this, I really want to get her back on the road.
 450bhp no gearbox to appreciate the power:doh:
if a company is suggesting they will be charging you for new synchros when building a dog box i suggest you go find someone else to build it for you
good luck with the warranty on a gearset , it wont be the gearset that fails anyways.
i think my ppg owes me about 4k now all in, but thats with the ppg final drive and main shaft
personally i'd forget the ppg 5th, a quaife 5th is £250, just use your old synchros (unless fooked) maybe get a new hub £40ish. You'd have straight cut, dog 1-4 and helical, synchro 5th, good for motorways, simon had this set up. Be warned, this will not stop the gearcase shitting itself on its own, as of yet nothing is proven although having the full ppg should do it..lol
if you wanted to go that way i've got new quiaffe 5th gear (input and main) you could have for £150, a cryo'd mainshaft and ring gear for £100 if you wanted.
this is about as good as you can get without going full ppg which adds another £1200 to the cost of 1-5
