To be pedantic; the '94 should be the <Nissan> badge on the front rather than <P>, but it certainly shouldn't say <GTR> because it's not a Skyline.

ohh arghhh h8 people with GTR badges
I also realise that I've misread what you originally wrote.

To me it's a bit like buying a Ford Escort and putting a Ferrari badge on it; a GTi-R isn't any more a GTR than an Escort is a Ferrari.

Prince Badge
I don't think so. Prince was part of Nissan for about ten years before the first Pulsar was built; by then the name "Prince" was only used as part of the dealer network ("Nissan Prince Shop"). - If you compare the two logos, you'll notice they're similar, but not the same:

VS.

It's no different than the S on the Skyline or Silvia, nor the Z on a 240Z; if it was for Prince the Skyline would have it too as that actually was a Prince model.

Skyline (obviously).

So what does the p stand for?

I always thought it was for prince.

going on what you have put George it looks like it is for pulsar!

the others are for the cars names so why not?

Stu, that's my logic too. - I think it was just a period (possibly during the Nissan "Red" phase) when they decided to give the Japanese domestic cars their own individual badges.

People keep saying it's for Prince, but it doesn't make any sense to me that you'd suddenly put the badge from a company you acquired in 1966 on a car that was never one of theirs, and not on one of the same era that actually was one. - It makes more sense that they'd create a stylised P for Pulsar to match the other stylised letters on other models.

I'll just wait for the obligatory flaming now.

And to add to what George is saying the skyline was originally a princes motor company car that never !! sported a p badge on the front
