Z32 problems

Hi all,

Put the Z32 on and the ecu keeps going into code 12 - AFM. Engine running really lumpy and won't rev past 3k.

Works fine again with standard AFM back on.

Going to re-do all the wiring just to check, but could it be faulty? Bought it used from Japan so no guarantee it even works I supose.
It has been sealed with silcone as if it has been opened before but can't these be adjusted inside?

Is the best way forward to put my Z32 on a pulsar that already has a Z32 to see if it runs ok? Assuming I don't find I have cocked all the wiring up!

You can't just add a Z32MAF to your car unless you have a modified ecu/ power FC/ emanage etc etc :doh: :doh: :doh: :doh: :doh: :doh:

at the very least you need to install an safc1 or version 2 to trick the ecu into thinking its normal airflow...otherwise it will do as you said it is and run like crap.....search for safc2 and it will give you details of what you need to program it at to run an z32 maf...i think it 5 in 2 out if my memory is correct...hope this helps

Yep Z32 MAF will not work with the standard ecu with out something to support it.
