Replacing turbo gaskets and missing nuts in preparation for todays MOT.


I'm surprised the car was running so well with only 1 nut left on the turbo elbow and most of the turbo to manifold nuts loose.:shock:

All sorted now and it passed the mot even tho I found out I was actually booked in for yesterday and not today :doh:

Well done, Think i should check my turbo - mani nuts?? They are obviously coming loose over time with all the vibrations yeah?

Yes, they must be. There should be locking tabs on the 4 turbo ones, but even so, mine were loose.

This i think is a common issue, mine had a similar thing happen, i just doubled up on the nuts and used the outer nut as a lock nut, works a treat. Bit of a squeeze to do though, especially if you have your legs in the air like a man whore :lol:

My excuse it that it was windy and the gates would keep blowing open and shut on my legs if they were stretched out.:whistle:
