worked for ten minutes

Hi my car was flying for a hole ten minutes then a intercooler pipe blowed off, (because i think my gain was too high 40)
will not boost to 1 bar now...computer set to boost % 40 gain 15... Any reasons why anyone...:doh:

plus when it is now switched off, it gets to about 0.5 bar and within a second of that it can go to about 1.2 bar, but there seems to be no drive through the wheels with this (which is understandable but why the jump)

check piping and everything boost related under you bonnet what spring is in your wastegate seems odd that when boost controller is off it jumps up that high. maybe your actuater is ****ed somehow?

Reason your pipe blew off was indeed your gain was too close to set and it spiked try set it close but not so close that it spikes unless you like rebuilding engines.

Also you say it will not boost to 1 bar anymore but it boosts to 1.2 ????

Run a boost leak tester. Put it on the pipe instead of your airbox and pump it to 30 psi. Then listen for leaks. Here's a link to the tester:

yes that 1.2 with the computer off so the valves stay open... looked for a leak but every vacuum pipe has been changed in the last two weeks and can 100% say there not leaking

computer was set on wc not ac...all now fine, thanks guys anyway
