wont tick over

my r wont tick over i have played with the screw on the intake and it dosent do anything.
the longer i run the car for the better it runs but wont tick over
could this be a dodgy MAF?

Have you done a fault code check? - I'm not sure that playing with the idle screw for a while, and checking the hose clamps, constitutes a thorough investigation... but I'm not going to do Boby out of a sale (he still needs to pay off that Egypt trip!).

i have checked all the hoses are tight and im told it will be more than likely the MAF. how much do you want for the MAF?
