Window Strips

Hi Guys,

New to the forum.

Have bought an R and want to get it repainted. I know when one of my partners had his repainted and the car was stripped when the painter went to put back on the window strips some of the clips were broken when they were being taken off.
So im wondering when i get these same window strips taken off for the paint job and the clips happen to get broken are these strips easy to replace/buy/source?

The plastic wind deflector strips are pretty hard to get hold of I believe.
You might be able to get some replacement clips, but I don't know
Taking them off is not hard, and they should have no problem removing them without breaking the clips.

I have removed two sets of them and never broken a clip. You just need to be careful, and pull the door trim away from the metal to free the clips.
Sometimes putting a screwdriver in the bottom of the 'U' of the clip, and pushing it down helps.

If you find some good double sided tape to attach the wind deflectors back on to the door frames, let me know as the tape I used has lost its stickiness, and I need to get some to replace it.
